Standing against the storm, Eyes closed tight, as waves crash around. As worlds fall apart. as souls smash against the winds. as hope ends and faith holds strong. And then theirs calm. Eyes wide open looking at destruction all around. Your own heart beat the only sound, you are alive, you were skipped, you are one of the lucky ones spared for now.

I agree very stupid. I saw that and was discusted. Instead of simply being happy to be alive they start stealing and shooting. Now one thing is trying to survive and get food for your children but stealing a damn plasma tv or stupid things that just cause you want them is plain wrong and stupid. To think they were the ones that ere sapired instead of maybe a child or some one worth it.
Absolutely and not meaning to be racist but, have you noticed that it is invariably the black population who run riot after a disaster---it will be interesting to see how cowboy joe handles this..
well don't know about that but there is a higher population of them there. I'm spanish as you kow and I think we tend to have a running temper like that when it comes to our kids and if they are safe or not. As for the stealing i don't think it is about race as much as it is about respect and education. Seems they were not taught either.
True and the blacks are financially worse of but then crack is a extremely expensive drug...
Hi Peek_A_Boo. Good writing. I liked it. I like the way you describe total destruction and end of hope, to later be able to gather strenth and rebuild what was destroyed. It's like the end of one era by violent distruction, to then give way to a renewed world with refreshed hopes. Good job. And as for the stealing thing, I agree with you. It has to do with education and respect, rather than with race.
